3. Face Data Policy

STYLESWAP utilizes advanced AI technology to provide hairstyle and color simulations. We take your privacy regarding facial data extremely seriously and follow strict guidelines to protect your information.

1) What face data does your app collect?

When you use our hairstyle try-on or face analysis features, the app collects the photo you upload. Our AI processing engine extracts facial geometry data, including face shape and the relative positioning of facial features (such as eyes, nose, and hair boundaries), to accurately overlay virtual hairstyles and provide styling recommendations.

2) Provide a complete and clear explanation of all planned uses of the collected face data.

The extracted facial data is used exclusively for two purposes: (1) to generate a realistic visual simulation of various hairstyles and colors on your uploaded photo, and (2) to provide a structured analysis of your face shape to suggest the most flattering styles. This data is processed in real-time and is never used for advertising, tracking, or identity verification.

3) Will the face data be shared with any third parties? Where will this information be stored?

To provide high-quality AI simulations and face analysis, the uploaded image is sent to our trusted AI processing partners: NanoBananaAPI (as a secure intermediary) and Google Gemini AI. These services process the image in a secure, transient environment to generate results. No personal identifiers (such as your name or email) are ever attached to the image sent for processing. We confirm that these third parties provide at least equal protection for your data as described in this policy. We do not store face data or original images on our permanent servers or any other third-party storage.

4) How long will face data be retained?

Face data is not retained. All facial analysis and image processing occur in a transient state. The uploaded photo and any derived facial metadata are deleted immediately after the simulation is generated or the analysis session is closed. No biometric information is stored permanently.

5) Where in the privacy policy is the app's collection, use, disclosure, sharing, and retention of face data explained?
