2. Who We Are
The Service is operated by CutScroll. CutScroll encourages physical activity by requiring users to perform exercises (such as pushups and squats) in order to earn scrolling time on other applications.

3. What Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Give Us Directly
- Account Information: When you register, we collect information necessary to set up your account, such as your email address, name, and identifying data provided through third-party authentication services (Apple, Google). This data is synchronized via Apple CloudKit to your private database.
- User Content: Information you provide when using the Service, such as profile information and fitness goals.
3.2 Data We Collect Automatically
- Usage Data: Information about your activity, including exercise data (counts, metrics), streaks, time budget usage, and session duration.
- Device Information: Data about your mobile device and connection, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
- App Usage Information: Through the Screen Time API, we collect information about the time you spend on various applications to facilitate time budgets. We do not collect information about specific content viewed within those external applications.
3.3 Camera Data & Exercise Detection
- How We Use Camera Data: CutScroll uses your device's camera to detect exercises through local pose estimation and movement detection. This verifies exercise completion to earn scrolling time.
- Explicit Consent: Before accessing your camera, we request your explicit consent within the app. You may withdraw this consent at any time via your device settings.
- Data Collection and Storage: We do not collect, store, or retain any biometric face or body data. All processing occurs entirely locally on your device. Specifically:
- No data retained: Visual data is processed in real-time and immediately discarded. We do not retain images or biometric identifiers.
- No video stored: The camera feed is processed locally. No recordings are created or stored on your device or our servers.
- No data transmitted: Visual data never leaves your device. Only the final exercise count is synced to your account.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use collected information to provide and maintain the Service, manage your account, track statistics, enable gamification, improve user experience, and comply with legal obligations.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
- Cloud Services: Apple CloudKit (private database hosting and synchronization).
- Service Providers: RevenueCat (subscription management), Superwall (paywall management), and Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics (performance monitoring and usage analytics).
- Legal Authorities: We may disclose information if required by law or valid requests by public authorities.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain personal information only as long as necessary. You can delete your account and associated data at any time directly within the app settings. Upon initiation, personal data is removed from active databases in accordance with our provider's retention policies (typically within 30-90 days).
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to remove it.
