Parent and child safety app

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how kidoks collects, uses, shares, protects, and deletes information when parents or guardians use the app to supervise child devices.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

1. Who we are

kidoks is a parental control and child safety app provided by TBAC SOFTWARE LTD. The app helps parents and guardians pair child devices, manage screen time, set device and app restrictions, configure web safety rules, receive safety alerts, and optionally use child location safety features.

In this policy, "kidoks," "we," "us," and "our" refer to TBAC SOFTWARE LTD. "Parent" means a parent or legal guardian using parent mode. "Child" means the child whose device is supervised through child mode.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the kidoks mobile app, related child app experience, backend services, and any public privacy-policy page that links to this document. It is intended to describe the personal and sensitive data used to provide parental control and family safety features.

kidoks does not use this website to place cookies, run analytics, show advertisements, or track visitors across other websites.

3. Information we collect

The information kidoks collects depends on the features used, permissions granted, device settings, and account configuration. We aim to collect only the information reasonably needed to provide parental control, child safety, account security, troubleshooting, and service operation.

Parent account data

We may collect and process parent account information such as:

  • Name or display name.
  • Email address.
  • Authentication provider, such as email and password, Google, Apple, anonymous sign-in, or guest sign-in.
  • Subscription or premium status, if applicable.
  • Parent PIN used to protect parent-only settings.
  • Security question selected or entered by the parent.
  • Hashed security answer. We do not intend to store the plain security answer.

Child profile and device data

To pair and supervise child devices, we may collect and process:

  • Child profile information entered by the parent.
  • Linked child device identifiers or internal user IDs.
  • Device platform, device status, and online/offline state.
  • Pairing codes and child-device link request status.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging token or another push notification token used to send app and safety notifications.
  • Permission health and status information needed to confirm that parental control features are working correctly.

Screen time and app control data

To provide screen time limits, app blocking, and device access controls, we may collect and process:

  • Screen time totals and remaining screen time.
  • Daily screen time limits.
  • Device lock and unlock status.
  • App usage information needed for parental control features.
  • Installed app list or app catalog where needed for app blocking and app management.
  • Android package names, app names, and app categories.
  • App restriction buckets, such as always allowed, limited, or blocked.

Schedule and restriction data

To enforce family rules and time windows, we may collect and process:

  • Bedtime, school time, family time, and other schedules.
  • Active days and configured time windows.
  • In-app purchase blocking settings.
  • Remote lock commands and command history or status.

Web safety data

If web safety features are enabled, kidoks may collect and process:

  • Web safety enabled or disabled state.
  • Blocked categories selected by the parent.
  • Blocked domains and allowed domains.
  • Web safety events, such as blocked page events or risky activity alerts, if the app records them.

Web safety data is used to provide parent-configured safety features, alerts, and restrictions. It is not used for advertising or ad personalization.

Diagnostics and support data

We may process limited technical information needed to keep kidoks reliable and secure, such as crash reports, error logs, app version, device model, operating system version, service events, and support messages sent to us.

4. Location data disclosure

kidoks collects and syncs child device location data to enable parent-visible location safety features, including when the child app is closed or not in use, if background location permission is granted.

If location features are enabled, kidoks may collect approximate and/or precise location from the child device. If background location permission is granted, the app may collect location while the child app is closed, running in the background, or not actively in use.

Location information may be used to show the child device location or safety status to the parent, support family safety features, provide location heartbeat or status updates, and help parents understand whether location-based safety features are working.

Parents and device users can control location permissions in device settings. Disabling location permissions may limit or stop location safety features.

5. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Create, authenticate, and protect parent accounts.
  • Pair parent and child devices.
  • Provide parent mode and child mode features, including screen time limits, schedules, remote locking, app controls, web safety, alerts, and optional location safety.
  • Send service, account, permission, safety, and status notices.
  • Process subscription or premium access status, if applicable.
  • Prevent misuse, abuse, unauthorized access, and fraud.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app.
  • Respond to user requests and provide support.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and platform obligations.

6. Advertising and tracking

For this draft, kidoks does not show third-party advertisements, does not sell personal data, and does not use child data for behavioral advertising or ad personalization.

kidoks does not use child profile data, location data, app usage data, app inventory data, web safety data, or device identifiers for advertising. If advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking tools, or new data-sharing practices are added later, this policy and the Google Play Data Safety form must be updated before release.

7. Service providers

We may use trusted service providers to operate kidoks and provide infrastructure, authentication, database storage, cloud functions, push notifications, crash or error diagnostics, hosting, security, and support.

These providers may include Firebase and other Google services, depending on the app configuration. Service providers process data only to help us operate, secure, maintain, and support kidoks. They are not permitted by us to use child data for advertising.

8. Legal and safety sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, legal process, or government request.
  • Protect the rights, privacy, safety, or security of users.
  • Investigate abuse, security incidents, fraud, or misuse.
  • Enforce our terms, policies, and app rules.
  • Protect the availability and security of kidoks.

If kidoks or TBAC SOFTWARE LTD is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice where required by law.

9. Children's privacy

kidoks is intended for use by parents and legal guardians to supervise child devices. Child data is collected with parent or guardian involvement and is used to provide parental control and child safety functionality requested by the parent or guardian.

We aim to comply with applicable privacy laws that protect children, including parent consent and parent control requirements where they apply. We do not knowingly use child data for behavioral advertising.

Parents and legal guardians can contact us to review their child's information, request correction or deletion, or ask us to stop further collection of their child's information. To make a request, contact us at tbac.software@gmail.com.

10. Data retention and deletion

We retain parent account data, child profile data, device data, settings, restrictions, and safety data while the account is active or as needed to provide kidoks. We may also retain information as needed for security, troubleshooting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and service operation.

Pairing codes and link request data are designed to be temporary and are deleted or expire when they are no longer needed. Logs, events, commands, diagnostics, and safety records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for safety, troubleshooting, legal, and service purposes.

Users can request account deletion and associated data deletion by contacting tbac.software@gmail.com. After a verified deletion request, we will delete or de-identify information unless we need to keep certain records for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate service purposes.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have privacy rights related to your personal information and your child's information. These may include the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you or your child.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of account and associated data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Disable device permissions, such as location or notifications.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable.
  • Request a copy or export of information where applicable.
  • Contact the developer with questions or privacy requests.

You can control many permissions directly in device settings. Some permissions are necessary for specific parental control features. Disabling them may reduce or prevent those features from working.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS/TLS transmission where applicable, access controls, authentication safeguards, and service provider security features.

No method of transmission, storage, or processing is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information and improve safeguards over time.

13. International transfers

kidoks may rely on cloud providers and service providers that process information in countries other than the country where you or your child live. Those countries may have privacy laws that are different from your local laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, service provider data processing terms, and other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

14. Google Play data safety alignment

This policy is intended to support clear Google Play Data Safety disclosures for kidoks. The Google Play Data Safety form and this policy should stay consistent and should accurately describe all data collected, shared, and processed by the app.

Depending on the final app implementation, the Data Safety form may need to disclose categories such as location, personal information, app activity, app information and performance, device or other IDs, installed app list or app inventory, authentication information, child profile data, push notification tokens, diagnostics, and parental-control settings.

This privacy policy must be hosted as a public, non-PDF webpage and linked in Google Play Console and inside the app where required.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law or platform rules.
